Tourist Tax Croatia 2025: Prices for Boats and Yachts
If you’re navigating Croatian waters with your own boat or yacht, you are required to pay not only the navigation fee (permit/vignette) but also the so-called tourist tax (sojourn tax). This tax is mandatory and is calculated based on the boat’s length and the duration of stay in Croatian waters. The tourist tax can be paid as a flat rate per boat, which is especially convenient for repeated visits or longer stays.
Below you will find the official tourist tax rates for Croatia for the year 2025, if paid as a flat rate per boat – regardless of how many people are on board or whether the boat changes ownership during the year.

What should skippers and boat owners know?
The tourist tax applies to all boats and yachts over 7 meters in length, regardless of whether they sail under a Croatian or foreign flag. Important: the tourist tax must be paid separately from the navigation fee (permit). Those who plan to stay frequently or for extended periods may benefit from the 365-day option.
If you are already registered in other accommodation such as an apartment, campsite, or hotel, you are not required to pay the tourist tax again for your stay on the boat. The tax is only collected once – in case of inspection, make sure to carry proof of already paid tax with you.
